Just in – Nigeria To Spend N52bn For E-Border Solutions.

The Nigerian government is to spend N52 billion Naira in providing E-Border solutions along with 86 border posts in an effort to check cross border crimes.

This was one of the several approvals made at the Federal Executive Council, FEC meeting chaired by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, on Thursday in Abuja.

In response to the increasing number of cross-border crimes along Nigeria’s borders, the Federal Government is introducing modern equipment in all the 86 border posts. 

The initiative is expected to reduce all criminal activities across the 1,400 identified illegal routes.

FEC approved two memos for the ministry of water resources seeking the extension of consultancy services for the supervision of on-going projects.

The Ministry of Budget and National Planning also sought and got approval for consultancy for the provision of training services for the northern and southern part of the country under the National Social Investment Programme.

The Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed said valedictory session of the FEC meeting will hold on May 22, 2019.
